Top 10 Countries for International Students

The United States was ranked the best country for international students pursuing higher education according to a 2021 survey by *CEOWorld* magazine. The U.S. received the highest score among the surveyed countries, with 71.78 points.

Australia ranked second with a score of 68.04 points. This was followed by the United Kingdom, Canada, and France, scoring 67.16 points, 66.39 points, and 66.06 points respectively.

Among Southeast Asian countries, Singapore ranked highest (32nd globally) with a score of 53.53 points. This was followed by Malaysia (33rd globally) with 53.26 points and Indonesia (35th globally) with 52.65 points.

The *CEOWORLD* survey considered 11 indicators in determining the rankings: education system, access to high-quality teaching, number of research-oriented universities, university funding and endowments, expertise specialization, university-industry relations, research output, university global rankings, government funding for education, ease of obtaining a student visa, and ease of obtaining a post-study work visa.

The survey was conducted between December 12, 2020, and January 11, 2021, and received responses from 185,200 respondents in 45 countries.
