Indonesian Rupiah Strengthens to Rp 14,990 per US Dollar (Monday, July 25, 2022)

As of 10:43 WIB this morning, the rupiah exchange rate in the spot market was traded at Rp 14,990 per US dollar on Monday, July 25, 2022. This exchange rate strengthened by 0.18% compared to the previous day's closing, which was traded at Rp 15,018 per US dollar. Today's trading of the rupiah exchange rate is expected to move in the range of 14,945 - 14,997.5.

According to investing.com, the rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has increased by 0.02% in a week. Compared to 30 days ago, however, the rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has been pressured down by 1.22%.

Nevertheless, for the one-year data range, the rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has actually experienced a decrease (strengthening). In the last year, the previous highest record reached Rp 15,030 per US dollar.

The rupiah exchange rate in the spot market reached its lowest point at Rp 14,255 per US dollar on Thursday, February 17, 2022. The highest point this year was around Rp 15,030 per US dollar.

The current condition of the rupiah exchange rate is contrary to most regional currencies that are strengthening against the US dollar.

This morning, according to several major currencies monitored by Bank Indonesia, the South Korean won strengthened by 1.26 points (-0.10%) to KRW 1,310.16 per US dollar, the Japanese yen strengthened by 0.14 points (-0.10%), the Singapore dollar strengthened by 0.0004 points (-0.03%), the euro strengthened by 0.0007 points (-0.07%), and the Chinese yuan weakened (+0.06%).
