Latest Food Prices in East Java: Chili Prices Up, Beef Prices Down (Tuesday, January 16, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are monitored to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Tuesday (16/1/2024) at 13.03 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, garlic bulbs, chicken eggs, bulk cooking oil, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, shallots, bulk wheat flour, pure beef, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices surged the highest by Rp1,190 (2.85%) to Rp42,950 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of bulk wheat flour decreased the most by Rp80 (0.8%) to Rp9,940 per kg.

6. Milkfish: Rp33,400 per kg (up 0.36%)
7. Chicken Meat: Rp31,820 per kg (up 0.38%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp31,620 per kg (up 1.64%)
9. Shallots: Rp30,880 per kg (down 0.32%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp25,090 per kg (up 0.2%)
