Today's Food Prices (Dec 4) in West Sumatra: Onion and Bird's Eye Chili Prices Down

Prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Essential Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (Dec 4, 2025) at 4:13 PM WIB, out of 16 commodities, 2 commodities increased and 3 decreased.

The commodities with increased prices were curly red chili and Honan garlic.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as large red chili, shallots, and red bird's eye chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili saw the highest jump of Rp241 (0.3%) to Rp81,815 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of large red chili experienced the sharpest drop of Rp20,000 (20.0%) to Rp80,000 per kg.
