Daily Prices of Grade 2 Beef at Traditional Markets, January 2024

Based on the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 14:44 WIB, the daily price of grade 2 beef in traditional markets in Papua Province has not changed compared to the previous day or the last week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of grade 2 beef in traditional markets remains unchanged at Rp128,150.

However, over the past three months, the daily price of grade 2 beef in traditional markets in Papua has increased by 1.83% from the previous price of Rp125,850.

The highest recorded increase in the daily price of grade 2 beef in traditional markets in this province was in December 2021, with a 16.9% increase, while the lowest decrease was recorded in December 2020, with a -13.04% decrease.

According to PIHPS monitoring, today's prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) in Papua show seven commodities decreased and 13 increased. The commodities with decreased prices are: Curly Red Chili, Large Red Chili, Garlic, Red Chili, Rice, Medium Quality Rice I, and Medium Quality Rice II.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today, compared to price changes over the past month in Papua Province:

1. Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2 per kg: Rp21,500/kg (unchanged)
2. Curly Red Chili per kg: Rp55,000/kg (down 10.2%)
3. Green Bird's Eye Chili per kg: Rp97,500/kg (up 2.63%)
4. Medium-sized Garlic per kg: Rp56,000/kg (up 0.45%)
5. Large Red Chili per kg: Rp78,000/kg (down 3.41%)
6. Cooking Oil per kg: Rp22,450/kg (unchanged)
7. Garlic per kg: Rp56,000/kg (down 1.75%)
8. Bird's Eye Chili per kg: Rp97,500/kg (up 8.94%)
9. Red Chili per kg: Rp66,500/kg (down 4.66%)
10. Rice per kg: Rp16,500/kg (down 0.3%)
11. Shallot per kg: Rp63,500/kg (up 8.09%)
12. Low Quality Rice I per kg: Rp15,950/kg (unchanged)
13. Low Quality Rice II per kg: Rp15,450/kg (unchanged)
14. Medium Quality Rice I per kg: Rp17,350/kg (down 0.57%)
15. Medium Quality Rice II per kg: Rp16,800/kg (down 0.88%)
