Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Chili, Rice, and Egg Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (23/6/2024) at 09.52 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk cooking oil, premium rice, dry soybean (import), milkfish, and garlic cloves.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken, fine iodized salt, bulk wheat flour, chicken eggs, and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices increased the most by Rp2,320 (5.23%) to Rp46,650 per kg. Fine iodized salt prices decreased the most by Rp350 (3.13%) to Rp10,820 per kg.
