Latest Food Prices in East Java: Rice Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are monitored to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (20/02/2025) at 10:48 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 16 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include dry soybean (import), skipjack tuna, garlic bulbs, Minyakita (a brand of cooking oil), and packaged wheat flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as SPHP rice, milkfish, packaged cooking oil, granulated sugar, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices increased the most, by Rp7,398 (13.44%), reaching Rp62,456 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of granulated salt decreased the most sharply, by Rp408 (4.2%), reaching Rp9,306 per kg.
