Jakarta, Indonesia Food Price Update Today: Rice Prices Up, Chili Prices Down (Friday, February 23, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (23/2/2024) at 11:01 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are wheat flour (bulk), chicken eggs, shallots, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and garlic cloves.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, premium rice, mackerel, milkfish, and fine iodized salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Medium rice saw the highest price increase of Rp390 (2.65%) to Rp15,100 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili peppers saw the lowest price decrease of Rp33,960 (38.86%) to Rp53,420 per kg.
