East Java Food Prices Week of (8/9): Salt, Oil, and Chicken Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Sunday (8/9/2024) at 11:25 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include granulated sugar, garlic bulbs, iodized fine salt, red chilies, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, shallots, milkfish, simple packaged cooking oil, and mackerel decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase, jumping by Rp560 (6.11%) to Rp9,720 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chilies decreased the most, dropping by Rp1,460 (5.99%) to Rp22,910 per kg.

6. Mackerel: Rp31,230 per kg (down 5.85%)
7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp29,750 per kg (down 3.03%)
8. Chicken Eggs: Rp24,750 per kg (up 0.61%)
9. Curly Red Chilies: Rp22,910 per kg (down 5.99%)
10. Shallots: Rp20,630 per kg (down 1.34%)
