Daily Price of Large Red Chilies at Modern Markets, December 2023-2024

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of large red chilies in modern markets in the Yogyakarta Special Region province is recorded at Rp77,400 per kg. This price is unchanged compared to the previous day, and similarly unchanged over the last week.

Compared to the last month, however, the daily price of large red chilies in modern markets has decreased from a previous record of Rp81,400 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of large red chilies in modern markets over the last three months in Yogyakarta Special Region has decreased by 16.68%. According to historical food price records in the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of large red chilies in modern markets in the Yogyakarta Special Region province was traded at Rp92,900 per kg.

The record high for the daily price of large red chilies in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in February 2017 with an increase of 149.44%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in January 2017 with a decrease of -57.16%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in Yogyakarta Special Region show eight commodities decreased and six increased. The basic commodities with decreased prices are Green Chili, Red Chili, Large Red Chili, Curly Red Chili, Chili, Granulated Sugar, Red Chili, and Premium Quality Granulated Sugar.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to price changes over the last month in the Yogyakarta Special Region province:

9. Curly Red Chili per Kg Rp60,750 per kg (down 2.72%)
