Today's Food Prices in South Sumatra: Rice and Onion Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (24/10/2024) at 12:05 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, medium rice, garlic bulbs, skipjack tuna, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, bulk cooking oil, bulk wheat flour, broiler chicken, and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp740 (1.73%) to Rp43,590 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chilies experienced the largest price decrease of Rp250 (1.15%) to Rp21,530 per kg.
