Jakarta, Indonesia Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Up, Salt Prices Down (Wednesday, February 14, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Wednesday (14/2/2024) at 09.16 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, granulated sugar, simple packaged cooking oil, bulk wheat flour, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, dry soybean (import), milkfish, bulk cooking oil, and iodized fine salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices increased the most, by Rp15,550 (26.23%) to Rp74,830 per kg. The price of milkfish decreased the most, by Rp7,670 (18.64%) to Rp33,470 per kg.

9. Chicken Eggs: Rp29,930 per kg (up 5.46%)
10. Mackerel: Rp29,580 per kg (down 16.72%)
