The price of chili peppers in traditional markets in West Sumatra Province has fallen by 16.5% over the past month.

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of chili peppers in traditional markets in West Sumatra Province is recorded at Rp41,250. This price is down Rp8,750 compared to the previous day.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of chili peppers in traditional markets has decreased from Rp49,400.

Meanwhile, the daily price of chili peppers in traditional markets in West Sumatra over the past three months has increased by 19.57% from the previous price of Rp34,500.

The record high for the daily price of chili peppers in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in May 2020 with an increase of 53.91%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in May 2020 with a decrease of -21.78%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities today in West Sumatra show seven commodities decreased and 14 others increased. Basic commodities with price decreases include Daily Chili Peppers in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Green Chili Peppers in Traditional Markets by Province, Medium Quality II Rice, Super Quality II Rice, Rice in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Chicken Eggs in Traditional Markets by Province, and Daily Fresh Chicken Eggs in Traditional Markets by Province.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to the price developments over the past month in West Sumatra Province:
