Latest Food Prices in Jakarta: Onion Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (2/5/2024) at 14.25 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are garlic bulbs, granulated sugar, bulk wheat flour, chicken eggs, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, kembung fish, medium rice, red chilies, and tongkol fish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Dry soybean (import) commodities surged the highest at Rp560 (4.67%) to Rp12,560 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chilies decreased the least at Rp2,600 (4.44%) to Rp55,970 per kg.
