Personal Care and Other Services Expenditures in Jakarta Increased by 1.25% in June

Other personal care expenditure in Jakarta in June amounted to 1.25%. This figure is lower than the previous month's 3.7%. Among the nine inflation groups measured in this region, the other personal care and services group contributed 0.55% to regional inflation.

The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) reported that the consumer price index (CPI) for other personal care and services in Jakarta was at 121.51 in June 2024, higher than the previous month's 120.01.

Compared to the same month last year, inflation for other personal care and services has fallen by 3.46% (year on year/yoy). Compared to the beginning of the year, expenditure in Jakarta has grown by 12.43% (year to date/ytd).

This inflation sub-group experienced the second-highest increase compared to other contributing inflation sub-groups.

The following is the inflation of the other personal care and services sub-group measured by BPS for June in Jakarta:

• Other personal care group: 1.25%
• Personal care group: 0.27%
• Personal care and other services group: 0.55%

Compared to 150 other regencies/cities, the highest inflation for other personal care and services occurred in Makassar City at 0.4% with a CPI of 117.27, and the lowest occurred in Pematang Siantar City at 1.5% with a CPI of 121.5. Jakarta ranked 25th.
