Central Java Food Price Update Today: Salt Prices Up, Cooking Oil Prices Down (Tuesday, January 2, 2024)

Food prices in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (2/1/2024) at 11:18 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, red chilies, skipjack tuna, iodized fine salt, and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, shallots, granulated sugar, milkfish, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase, jumping Rp1,170 (9.65%) to Rp13,290 per kg. Bulk cooking oil saw the lowest price decrease, dropping Rp320 (2.21%) to Rp14,130 per liter.
