Chili Pepper Prices in East Nusa Tenggara are the Highest in Indonesia (Thursday, October 12, 2023)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of chili peppers (per kg) in modern markets in several provinces reaching Rp 72,880 per kg, data as of Thursday, October 12, 2023. Overall, the average this week increased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 68,360 per kg.

The daily price of chili peppers in modern markets in East Nusa Tenggara was the most expensive in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 149,900 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of chili peppers in this province is higher; previously recorded at Rp 57,150 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in South Kalimantan, the price of chili peppers was sold at Rp 108,900 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of chili peppers in Central Kalimantan was Rp 107,450 per kg, East Kalimantan Rp 98,900 per kg, and North Kalimantan Rp 95,000 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 16 provinces with chili pepper sales below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for chili peppers are North Sumatra, Jambi, and South Sulawesi.
