Indonesia Food Price Update Today: Chili and Rice Prices Fall (Saturday, February 24, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (24/2/2024) at 14:33 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are medium-grain rice, granulated sugar, red chilies, farmer-level corn, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, bulk wheat flour, milkfish, premium rice, and iodized fine salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of red chilies saw the highest increase, jumping by Rp470 (0.7%) to Rp67,480 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of milkfish saw the lowest decrease, dropping by Rp1,550 (4.56%) to Rp32,410 per kg.
