Lampung Deputy Governor Summoned by KPK, Wealth Increased by Rp6 Billion in 5 Years

Lampung Deputy Governor Chusnunia Chalim appeared at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) headquarters in Jakarta on Wednesday (May 17, 2023) to clarify her State Officials' Wealth Report (LHKPN).

After the clarification, Chusnunia refused to comment. The National Awakening Party (PKB) politician remained silent despite numerous questions from reporters.

Previously, KPK Prevention Spokesperson Ipi Maryati Kuding stated that clarifications regarding LHKPN were also conducted with Pangkalpinang Mayor Maulana Aklil and East Java Provincial Secretary Adhy Karyono.

"The KPK scheduled LHKPN clarification sessions with three state officials from three regional governments: the Mayor of Pangkalpinang, the Deputy Governor of Lampung, and the Secretary of East Java Province," Ipi said, as quoted by Kompas.com on Wednesday (May 17, 2023).

However, the KPK has not yet revealed the reasons why these officials had to undergo LHKPN clarification.

Chusnunia's Soaring Wealth

Based on LHKPN data, the wealth of Lampung Deputy Governor Chusnunia Chalim increased by Rp6.67 billion in the last five years.

In 2017, while still serving as Regent of East Lampung, Chusnunia reported assets totaling Rp6.99 billion.

By 2019, her first year as Deputy Governor of Lampung, her assets had risen to Rp10.15 billion.

The latest data, from 2021, shows her assets had further increased to Rp13.66 billion. This data was submitted to the KPK on March 7, 2022.

In 2021, Chusnunia was recorded as owning six plots of land and buildings located in South Jakarta, Depok, South Lampung, and Bandar Lampung, with a total value of Rp6.88 billion.

She also owns two vehicles: a 2010 Honda Accord Sedan worth Rp125 million and a 2014 Toyota Alphard Minibus worth Rp300 million.

The PKB cadre has cash and cash equivalents worth Rp6.35 billion, with no other movable assets, securities, other assets, or debts.
