Today's Food Prices (24/2) in Central Java: Onions Up, Red Chili Down

Some food commodity prices in Central Java today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Tuesday (February 24, 2026) at 15:17 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 5 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include hindquarter beef, premium rice, Honan garlic, bulk palm cooking oil, and red onions.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as broiler chicken meat, curly red chili, medium rice, large red chili, and red bird's eye chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red onion prices increased the most by Rp400 (1.0%) to Rp40,357 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chili prices dropped the sharpest by Rp1,981 (5.08%) to Rp37,000 per kg.
