In Agam Regency in 2023, per capita weekly expenditure on duck eggs/Manila duck eggs was Rp279.05. This is an increase compared to the previous year's expenditure of Rp167.62 per capita per week.

Per capita expenditure is the cost incurred for the consumption of all household members over a month, divided by the number of household members. This expenditure can be categorized into two parts: food and non-food.

The five largest components of household expenditure on eggs and milk in Agam Regency, in descending order, were: Rp4073.6 per capita per week for broiler eggs, Rp1,866.92 per capita per week for powdered milk, Rp620.91 per capita per week for baby powdered milk, Rp301.42 per capita per week for free-range chicken eggs, and the lowest expenditure was Rp41.61 per capita per week for other milk and milk products.

According to a publication by the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), average per capita expenditure in this regency reached Rp1.34 million per capita per month in March 2023. This figure increased by 11.94% compared to March 2022, which was Rp1.19 million per capita per month.
