Indonesia Food Price Update Today: Chicken Prices Up, Chili Prices Down (Wednesday, January 31, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Wednesday (31/1/2024) at 10:33 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 14 commodities increased in price and 5 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include dry soybean (import), simple packaged cooking oil, medium rice, bulk cooking oil, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chili peppers, skipjack tuna, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), milkfish, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of mackerel experienced the highest increase of Rp950 (2.51%) to Rp38,850 per kg. The price of red chili peppers saw the lowest decrease of Rp290 (0.67%) to Rp43,270 per kg.
