Current Food Prices in West Sumatra: Beef and Onion Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (21/11/2024) at 12.09 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 16 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are SHP rice, granulated sugar, iodized fine salt, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, bulk wheat flour, shallots, broiler chicken, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Granulated sugar experienced the highest price increase, jumping by Rp90 (0.5%) to Rp17,950 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level decreased the most, dropping by Rp320 (5.93%) to Rp5,080 per kg.

9. Curly Red Chili: Rp29,070 per kg (down 2.58%)
