Daily Prices of Premium Quality Granulated Sugar in Modern Markets of West Sumatra Province Have Decreased by 0.26% in the Last Month

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of premium granulated sugar in modern markets in West Sumatra Province is recorded at Rp19,300 per kg. This price is unchanged compared to the previous day and the last week.

Compared to the last month, the daily price of premium granulated sugar in modern markets has decreased from the previous record of Rp19,350 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of premium granulated sugar in modern markets in West Sumatra over the last three months has increased by 0.52% from the previous record of Rp19,200 per kg.

The highest price increase for premium granulated sugar in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in May 2020 with an increase of 13.9%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in July 2019 with a decrease of -14.15%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in West Sumatra show three commodities decreased and 18 others increased. The basic commodities with price decreases are Super II Quality Rice, Premium Quality Granulated Sugar, and Super I Quality Rice.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to the price changes over the last month in West Sumatra Province:

7. Grade 1 Beef per kg Rp158,950 per kg (unchanged)
8. Green Chili per kg Rp63,250 per kg (up 15.53%)
9. Medium I Quality Rice per kg Rp17,750 per kg (up 1.72%)
10. Cooking Oil per kg Rp23,350 per kg (up 2.41%)
11. Fresh Layer Chicken Meat per kg Rp52,150 per kg (unchanged)
