Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra Region: Onions Up, Chilies Down (Thursday, March 7, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Thursday (7/3/2024) at 11:25 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, whole garlic cloves, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), simple packaged cooking oil, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as fine iodized salt, bulk wheat flour, medium rice, premium rice, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of whole garlic cloves saw the highest increase, jumping by Rp520 (1.42%) to Rp37,160 per kg. The price of curly red chilies saw the lowest decrease, dropping by Rp3,480 (4.75%) to Rp69,780 per kg.
