Jakarta's Latest Food Prices: Onion Prices Rise, Rice Prices Fall

Food prices in DKI Jakarta today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Monday (30/9/2024) at 15.21 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, simple packaged cooking oil, curly red chilies, garlic bulbs, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, medium rice, tongkol fish, kembung fish, and red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp2,780 (10.08%) to Rp30,370 per kg. Kembung fish prices saw the sharpest decrease, dropping Rp1,890 (5.22%) to Rp34,330 per kg.

6. Tongkol Fish: Rp34,590 per kg (down 3.0%)
7. Kembung Fish: Rp34,330 per kg (down 5.22%)
8. Curly Red Chilies: Rp34,270 per kg (up 1.15%)
9. Shallots: Rp30,370 per kg (up 10.08%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp27,640 per kg (up 3.13%)
