Latest South Sumatra Food Prices: What's the Price of Onions?

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (8/7/2024) at 13.52 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, red chilies, premium rice, chicken eggs, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as SPHP rice, chicken meat, shallots, milkfish, and corn at the farmer level decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp920 (2.02%), reaching Rp46,380 per kg. Meanwhile, shallots experienced the largest price drop of Rp1,400 (4.1%), reaching Rp32,710 per kg.
