The Ministry of Finance reported that state revenue reached Rp1,974.7 trillion by the end of September 2022. This achievement is up 45.7% compared to September of last year (year-on-year/yoy), which amounted to Rp1,355 trillion.

This all contributes to a positive story for our State Budget (APBN)," said Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani in a press conference on the State Budget, Friday (21/10/2022).

"This shows that our State Budget is starting to become healthy and reflects our ability to create a buffer for the State Budget against global shocks, from commodity prices, inflation, interest rates, and the strengthening dollar," she continued.

Meanwhile, state expenditure realization was recorded at Rp1,913.9 trillion as of September 2022. This value grew by 5.9% (yoy) from the September 2021 expenditure realization of Rp1,806.9 trillion.

With revenue exceeding expenditure, Indonesia again recorded a state budget surplus for the ninth consecutive time this year. The state budget surplus in September 2022 reached Rp60.9 trillion, equivalent to 0.33% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
