Bali Food Prices Today: Chili Prices Up, Salt Prices Down

The price of several food commodities in Bali today is observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Sunday (14/7/2024) at 15:54 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), milkfish, bulk wheat flour, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, broiler chicken, medium rice, curly red chilies, and red onions decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp3,490 (6.59%) to Rp56,420 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of iodized fine salt saw the steepest decrease, dropping Rp2,110 (17.39%) to Rp10,020 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in Bali according to Bapanas on July 14, 2024, at 15:54 WIB.

8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp27,170 per kg (up 0.48%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp25,620 per kg (down 1.54%)
10. Red Onions: Rp25,020 per kg (down 2.34%)
