Cirebon Regency's 2023 Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices reached Rp61.31 trillion. This represents a 4.85% increase compared to the previous year's Rp56.65 trillion.
Compared to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the region's economic growth is significantly higher. At the end of 2020, post-COVID, growth recorded a decrease of 1.08%.
According to BPS (Statistics Indonesia) publications, with a total population of 2.42 million, the GRDP per capita in the region is recorded at Rp25,970,000/capita/year. Nationally, this ranks 436th.
Of the 17 sectors driving the region's economy, the manufacturing industry is the leading sector.
The manufacturing industry in Cirebon Regency is a mainstay sector, contributing the largest share to the 2023 GRDP with a value of Rp12.45 trillion. This represents a 5.38% growth compared to the previous year's Rp11.67 trillion.
Second is the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector, which experienced negative growth of -2.13%, reaching Rp9.16 trillion. The wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles sector grew by 2.02% to Rp8.33 trillion.
Finally, rounding out the top five GRDP sectors in Cirebon Regency is transportation and warehousing, valued at Rp6.26 trillion. According to BPS, this sector achieved 16.88% growth over the past year, up from Rp4.99 trillion.

By distribution level, the main sector contributing the largest growth to Cirebon Regency's GRDP is the manufacturing industry, with a contribution of 20.69%. Other top five sectors include wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles; agriculture, forestry, and fisheries; construction; and transportation and warehousing.
Sectors with the smallest distribution include Health and Social Services; Mining and Quarrying; Business Services; Electricity and Gas Supply; and Water Supply, Waste Management, Waste and Recycling.
