Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Prices of Salt, Chilies, and Cooking Oil Increase

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (5/6/2024) at 10:45 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include dry soybean (import), fine iodized salt, skipjack tuna, red chilies, and medium-grain rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, garlic cloves, shallots, broiler chicken meat, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of mackerel increased the most, by Rp1,300 (4.17%) to Rp32,440 per kg. The price of bulk cooking oil decreased the least, by Rp620 (3.98%) to Rp14,940 per liter.
