Indonesian Rupiah Exchange Rate Weakens to Rp 14,848 per US Dollar (Friday, June 24, 2022)

The Indonesian Rupiah exchange rate in the spot market today, as of 11:23 WIB, is traded at Rp 14,848 per US dollar on Friday, June 24, 2022. This exchange rate weakened by 0.08% compared to the previous day's closing, which was traded at Rp 14,835 per US dollar. Today's trading of the Rupiah exchange rate is expected to move in the range of 14,829 - 14,850.

As shown on investing.com, the Rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has been under pressure, weakening by 0.73% in a week. Compared to 30 days earlier, the Rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has weakened by 1.31%. Over the past year, the Rupiah exchange rate in the spot market reached a high of Rp 14,835 per US dollar.

For the period January-June 2022, the Rupiah exchange rate in the spot market experienced a weakening trend, moving 1.49% compared to the condition a month ago, which was at the level of Rp 14,630 per US dollar.

The current condition of the Rupiah exchange rate is contrary to most regional currencies, which are weakening against the US dollar.

This afternoon, according to several major currencies monitored by Bank Indonesia, the South Korean Won strengthened by 1.98 points (-0.15%) to KRW 1,298.15 per US dollar. Following this, the Japanese Yen strengthened by 0.19 points (-0.14%), the Singapore Dollar strengthened by 0.0015 points (-0.11%), the Euro strengthened by 0.0008 points (-0.09%), and the Chinese Yuan strengthened by 0.0082 points (-0.12%).
