Food Prices in Yogyakarta Special Region on Tuesday (December 31st): Chili Prices Up, Salt Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, have increased today compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at 11:57 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 saw price increases and 9 saw price decreases.

Commodities that saw price increases include medium-grain rice, shallots, red onions, milkfish, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken meat, bulk cooking oil, granulated sugar, mackerel, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp1,600 (4.21%) to Rp39,640 per kg. Iodized fine salt saw the sharpest price decrease, down by Rp700 (5.96%) to Rp11,040 per kg.
