East Java Food Prices Update: Red Bird's Eye Chili Price Rises, Red Chili Price Falls

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data as of Sunday (November 16, 2025) at 12:46 PM WIB, out of 23 commodities, 11 commodities saw an increase and 12 commodities saw a decrease.

Commodities with increased prices include large red chili, corn at farmer level, medium rice, SPHP rice, and consumption salt.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as premium rice, packaged cooking oil, consumption sugar, curly red chili, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red bird's eye chili saw the highest increase of Rp1,761 (6.81%) to Rp27,614 per kg. The price of curly red chili saw the deepest decrease of Rp2,306 (4.99%) to Rp43,902 per kg.

8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp31,544 per kg (down 1.38%)
9. Garlic (Bulb): Rp30,314 per kg (up 0.06%)
10. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp28,000 per kg (up 0.19%)
11. Red Bird's Eye Chili: Rp27,614 per kg (up 6.81%)
12. Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp19,775 per liter (down 0.13%)
