Current Food Prices in South Sumatra: Beef Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Saturday (14/9/2024) at 12.06 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, farmer-level corn, garlic bulbs, shallots, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium rice, dry soybean (import), bulk wheat flour, red chili peppers, and broiler chicken have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn experienced the highest price increase of Rp670 (10.91%) to Rp6,810 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chilies decreased the most sharply by Rp880 (2.92%) to Rp29,280 per kg.
