The Persija vs PSM Makassar match at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium on Monday (3/7/2023) concluded the first week of the Liga 1 competition.
In the match, which kicked off at 7 PM WIB, PSM took a 1-0 lead thanks to Kenzo Nambu's goal in the 12th minute. PSM managed to maintain their lead until the middle of the second half.
However, Persija equalized in the final 10 minutes. The 1-1 draw left both teams in the middle of the Liga 1 standings.
Meanwhile, PSIS Semarang temporarily leads the standings with 3 points. This is thanks to their 3-1 victory over Bhayangkara FC at the Jatidiri Stadium, Semarang, on Monday (3/7/2023) evening.
The three goals for the Laskar Mahena Jenar team were scored by Carlos Fortes, Paulo Gali Freitas, and Boubakary Diarra.
Other teams, namely Barito Putera, Persebaya Surabaya, Rans Nusantara, Dewa United, and PSS, have the same points as PSIS Semarang, all having secured 3 points.
Celebrity Raffi Ahmad's team, Rans Nusantara, had a good start to the season. In their match against Persikabo, Rans won 2-1.
Rans Nusantara, who finished in the bottom half last season, now occupies a top position in the Liga 1 standings in the first week.
