Today's Food Prices in West Sumatra: Prices of Chilies, Beef, and Sugar Drop

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (24/6/2024) at 13.05 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk cooking oil, medium rice, broiler chicken, skipjack tuna, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Indian mackerel, pure beef, red chili peppers, dry soybean (import), and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna experienced the highest price increase of Rp930 (2.48%) to Rp38,440 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chili peppers saw the largest price decrease of Rp4,570 (7.01%) to Rp60,600 per kg.
