Food Prices Today in Indonesian Regions: Egg, Chicken Meat, and Sugar Prices Drop

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Friday (September 5, 2025) at 09:12 AM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 3 increased and 22 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices are skipjack tuna, Indian mackerel, and fresh buffalo meat (local).

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as consumption sugar, red onion, pure beef, milkfish, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Fresh buffalo meat (local) commodity saw the highest surge, increasing by Rp1,728 (1.23%) to Rp142,778 per kg. Meanwhile, red onion prices dropped most sharply by Rp3,806 (8.44%) to Rp41,308 per kg.
