Today's Food Prices in West Sumatra on February 19: Red Chili Rises, Onion Falls

Some food commodity prices in West Sumatra today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (February 19, 2026) at 3:59 PM WIB, out of 16 commodities, 3 commodities increased and 5 decreased.

The commodities that saw price increases are large red chili, broiler chicken meat, and beef rump.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as shallots, Honan garlic, Minyakita, curly red chili, and red bird's eye chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The large red chili commodity jumped the highest by Rp500 (1.13%) to Rp44,625 per kg. As for shallots, the price dropped the most by Rp579 (1.69%) to Rp33,678 per kg.
