Jakarta, DKI Jakarta Food Prices Wednesday (16/10): Chili Prices Up, Chicken Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Wednesday (16/10/2024) at 08.55 WIB, out of 18 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are mackerel, red chili peppers, bulk cooking oil, pure beef, and granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, medium rice, curly red chilies, premium rice, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili peppers saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp7,130 (14.89%) to Rp55,000 per kg. Meanwhile, milkfish experienced the largest price drop, falling Rp8,790 (21.55%) to Rp32,000 per kg.

2. Red Chili Peppers: Rp55,000 per kg (up 14.89%)
3. Garlic Bulbs: Rp40,000 per kg (down 1.48%)
4. Mackerel: Rp35,000 per kg (up 2.19%)
5. Milkfish: Rp32,000 per kg (down 21.55%)
6. Red Onion: Rp30,000 per kg (down 8.56%)
7. Curly Red Chili Peppers: Rp30,000 per kg (down 1.74%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,000 per kg (down 16.27%)
9. Broiler Chicken: Rp29,000 per kg (down 19.27%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp29,000 per kg (up 4.47%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp19,000 per kg (up 1.88%)
