Latest Food Prices in Banten: Chili Pepper Up, Onion Down

Prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (August 29, 2025) at 11:17 AM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 16 increased and 7 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include bulk wheat flour, consumption sugar, broiler chicken eggs, corn at the farmer level, and packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as shallots, skipjack tuna, broiler chicken meat, garlic cloves, and premium rice have decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Red cayenne pepper commodity saw the highest jump of Rp2,527 (6.6%) to Rp40,800 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of garlic cloves dropped the most by Rp1,483 (4.0%) to Rp35,600 per kg.
