Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Chicken Prices Up, Chili Prices Down (Thursday, February 22, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Thursday (22/2/2024) at 12:38 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 12 commodities increased in price and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, bulk wheat flour, mackerel, dry soybean (import), and granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as farmer-level corn, premium rice, fine iodized salt, pure beef, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of broiler chicken saw the highest increase, jumping by Rp350 (0.99%) to Rp35,610 per kg. The price of red chili peppers saw the lowest decrease, dropping by Rp2,610 (3.15%) to Rp80,190 per kg.
