Banten Region Food Prices Wednesday (2/10): Salt Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (2/10/2024) at 11:25 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased in price and 13 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include dry soybean (import), red chili peppers, SPHP rice, pure beef, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken, tongkol fish, granulated sugar, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp610 (5.64%) to Rp11,420 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of milkfish decreased the most sharply, by Rp3,440 (10.3%) to Rp29,960 per kg.
