Current Food Prices in Central Java: Sugar and Egg Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (16/10/2024) at 08.01 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are iodized fine salt, red chilies, dry soybean (import), bulk wheat flour, and farmer-level corn.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, chicken eggs, pure beef, bulk cooking oil, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp2,690 (24.34%) to Rp13,740 per kg. Meanwhile, red chilies experienced the sharpest price drop of Rp3,830 (9.41%) to Rp36,880 per kg.

8. Chicken Eggs: Rp25,090 per kg (down 2.26%)
9. Red Keriting Chilies: Rp24,730 per kg (up 20.69%)
10. Shallots: Rp24,660 per kg (down 4.27%)
11. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp16,880 per liter (down 2.03%)
12. Granulated Sugar: Rp16,830 per kg (down 2.55%)
13. Bulk Cooking Oil: Rp15,780 per liter (down 4.19%)
