Jakarta, Indonesia Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down (Wednesday, April 3, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (3/4/2024) at 13.01 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 5 commodities increased in price and 3 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price are red chilies, pure beef, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), chicken eggs, and red cayenne pepper.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, bulk cooking oil, and chicken meat decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red cayenne pepper saw the highest price increase of Rp1,420 (2.65%) to Rp55,040 per kg. Meanwhile, shallots experienced the lowest price decrease of Rp430 (0.98%) to Rp43,390 per kg.
