Today's Food Prices in West Sumatra: Rice, Cooking Oil, and Salt Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (21/10/2024) at 15.27 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, iodized fine salt, premium rice, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, chicken eggs, milkfish, simple packaged cooking oil, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices increased the most, by Rp840 (2.7%) to Rp31,920 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of chicken meat decreased the most, by Rp560 (1.56%) to Rp35,410 per kg.
