Jakarta, Indonesia Food Price Update Today: Onion Prices Rise, Salt Prices Fall (Tuesday, February 6, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (6/2/2024) at 09.03 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, bulk cooking oil, shallots, chicken eggs, and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, iodized fine salt, skipjack tuna, mackerel, and packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp2,450 (6.56%) to Rp39,790 per kg. Iodized fine salt had the lowest price decrease, down by Rp1,330 (11.48%) to Rp10,260 per kg.

5. Garlic Bulb: Rp40,000 per kg (unchanged)
6. Shallots: Rp39,790 per kg (up 6.56%)
7. Milkfish: Rp36,940 per kg (down 7.28%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp33,020 per kg (down 7.87%)
9. Mackerel: Rp32,160 per kg (down 5.38%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp28,920 per kg (up 3.18%)
