Indonesia's Latest Food Prices: Chili Prices Rise, Chicken Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (6/12/2024) at 12:19 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 14 commodities increased in price and 6 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include dried soybean (import), curly red chilies, medium rice, farmer-level corn, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, broiler chicken meat, fine iodized salt, granulated sugar, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn experienced the highest price increase, jumping by Rp120 (2.02%) to Rp6,060 per kg. Meanwhile, milkfish experienced the sharpest price drop, decreasing by Rp340 (1.01%) to Rp33,270 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in Indonesia according to Bapanas on December 6, 2024, at 12:19 WIB.
