Jakarta Food Prices Wednesday (July 17th): Egg, Rice, and Chili Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (17/7/2024) at 13:46 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, premium rice, chicken eggs, bulk cooking oil, and curly red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, bulk wheat flour, iodized fine salt, pure beef, and mackerel decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp3,570 (7.02%), reaching Rp54,390 per kg. Iodized fine salt experienced the sharpest price drop of Rp970 (8.33%), reaching Rp10,670 per kg.
