Latest Indonesian Food Prices: Egg Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (26/6/2024) at 08.01 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include garlic bulbs, skipjack tuna, medium rice, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and Indian mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, shallots, red chilies, milkfish, and red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna prices surged the highest by Rp2,650 (8.27%) to Rp34,700 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili prices decreased the most by Rp4,600 (9.1%) to Rp45,960 per kg.

5. Shallots: Rp40,460 per kg (down 0.49%)
6. Indian Mackerel: Rp38,680 per kg (up 3.15%)
7. Broiler Chicken: Rp36,460 per kg (down 0.63%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp34,700 per kg (up 8.27%)
9. Milkfish: Rp32,420 per kg (down 2.53%)
10. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp30,490 per kg (up 2.49%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp18,220 per kg (up 0.55%)
